Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN) is a common skin condition characterized by small, dark papules that appear primarily on the face and neck. It predominantly affects individuals with darker skin tones, especially those of African or Asian descent.

These benign lesions usually begin appearing during adolescence and tend to increase in number and size with age. DPN does not cause discomfort or harm, but its presence can be a cosmetic concern for some. The bumps are typically smooth, round, and uniform in appearance.
