Acne

Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin condition involving the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. It presents as blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, nodules, and cysts, commonly on the face, chest, and back. It occurs when oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells clog pores and trigger inflammation.

The condition can be mild or severe and may lead to scarring or pigmentation changes if left unmanaged. Acne can affect individuals of all ages, though it is most prevalent during adolescence due to hormonal fluctuations. Emotional impacts such as reduced self-esteem and social anxiety are also commonly reported.
